Wayne O. Alani graduated from Texas A&M University before earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at
San Antonio. He continued his medical training with an internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kansas Medical School, Wichita, Kan.
Dr. Alani was then awarded fellowship to study pediatric orthopedic surgery at Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children in St. Louis, Mo. He is certified
by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and is licensed by the Texas Medical Board.
Dr. Alani's hospital privileges include Columbia West Houston Medical Center, Southwest Memorial Hospital and Texas Orthopedic Hospital
with consulting privileges at Polly Ryan Memorial Hospital. He served as chief of staff for Columbia West Houston Medical Center for four years and is also
the facility's current Chairman of the Utilization Committee along with the Secretary-Treasurer of Medical Staff. In addition, he is active with the
Operating Room Equipment Committee at Memorial Hospital Southwest.
Dr. Alani's professional memberships are with the American Medical Association, the Southern Medical Association, the Southern Orthopedic
Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, the University of Kansas Medical Alumni, the Texas Orthopedic Foundation,
and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
