Gregory K. Hoover earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Memphis, Tenn. He then went on to complete a general surgery internship as well as his orthopedic surgery residency with the University of Texas Medical School, Houston, Texas. Dr. Hoover is certified by the American Board of Orthopedics and is licensed to practice in the state of Texas.

He is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North American, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Texas Orthopedic Association and the Harris County Medical Society. Dr. Hoover specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery and minimally invasive joint replacement surgery.
